Hello World,
Bea is still alive although many may have thought otherwise.
Just wanted to record a nice site with some lovely clothes. Hope you enjoy it.

Great on-line shop for clothes makers

I need to tell you all about an on-line shop that has great ideas and good phtoos to help all those budding SL clothes makers amongst us.
It's called Revolve Clothing
How about this for example...
Not sure the RL prices are good but I can't complain of the detail they provide.
Happy sewing.....

Yet another rez year
So it's happened again. Another rez year.
I spent it quietly in a café with a glass of milk and some chocolate cake.
No champagne or fireworks, but a corner table and a napkin.
Pity none of my old friends were around to wish me well.
Anyway, whilst I am here I will continue the tradition of highlighting some amazing on-line shops for getting fashion ideas. How about:
Banana Shoes for the most outrageous shoes and other clothes
AllSaints
CC Fashion
Kookai
Frank's lingery blog

off-line SL
One thing I love about Second Life is not being on the grid. Eh? you might say! If you're not logged in you can't do anything. "Well your wrong there mate" as the Australians would say. There's nothing nicer than to surf around the blogs and on-line magazines, reading about the exploits of others. Also hunting down your SL friends in Google is fun to do. It's amazing what you might find. Makes me feel like a proper sleuth. Of course I drool over the SL fashions and the fun things people are wearing or making. Being an outside observer means I don't buy anything so it's good for my Linden bank balance. I'm building quite a nest egg what with a few sales in-game or via the SL exchange sites plus my monthly stipend. I can feel the Lindens burning at the top of my screen. Of course I miss the old friends (where are you?) and the early learning days but that's the proce for growing up in SL. Rezing a wooden box and making it flexy doesn't thrill me like it used to. The other thing about not being on the grid for me is the whole thing of being present or not. If I'm to be logged-on then I should at least leave myself a decent length of time to look-up old friends and have a good old chinwag. Nothing worse than being around for 10 minutes then rushing off to feed the cat or see to the husband (for those who have one, or both). Anyway, I'm not around much but then I am around. If you see what I mean. Cripes, I'm rambling. Time to log-on.

Yippee another year gone by
OMG - am I that old. The virtual wrinkles are there for everyone with a top of the range graphics card to see. Worry lines, sagging bottom. At least no stretch marks. I'm one of the old folk here in SL. Thinking about my pension and whether I'll be able to get by on the few Lindens I've put away, what with land prices and purchase tax etc. Worrying whether the walking frame I am making will still allow me to fly. No more of those rediculous high-heels and short hemlines. No more going braless under a tight T-shirt. I'm sorting my inventory and re-using what I can in imaginative ways. It's the sensible thing to do. That's what we do us oldies... sensible. My chat speed is not what it used to be. I sometimes feel I'm typing with two fists (probably the arthritis). I hope some of the younger SL inhabitants will look after me as I slowly fade away........

Happy Rez-day to me

Well dear reader(s),
It has come so far. I am one year old in SL terms. Ancient and wrinkly compared to the average SLer I encounter these days.
Yesterday was my Rez-day. I celebrated as most oldies do with a quiet cup of chocolate and some cake in the presence of a few friends. (Fiona, thanks for the scarf).
Here's a picture of me "celebrating".....Why is it snowing for goodness sake. I could be on a hot beach somewhere.
